Benn Klewpatinond, recently joined the Export and International Trade Panel, chaired by Jo Archer from UK Export Finance, alongside Roger Estrada (R53), Manuel Tordillo (RML Group), and Paul Bowman (Barclays).

The panel explored the opportunities and challenges businesses face when expanding internationally, sharing practical experiences from companies already navigating global markets.

Benn discussed the key considerations businesses need to think about when taking innovation overseas, focusing on four important areas: understanding people and markets, considering legal and compliance requirements early, and building the right sales and distribution networks.

His insights come at an exciting time following his recent visit to Thailand and Taiwan, where he met with existing and potential suppliers, visited over 15 factories, attended Subcon Thailand with the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), and explored opportunities for international manufacturing and growth.

From developing products for different markets to building strong international partnerships, Benn highlighted the importance of planning early and understanding the wider ecosystem needed to successfully expand overseas.
