Three Weeks. Two Countries. One Purpose.

Over the past three weeks, Benn has been on the ground across Thailand and a short visit to Taiwan, strengthening relationships, visiting manufacturing partners, supporting businesses within the Inond network, and exploring opportunities that will help deliver better outcomes for our clients.
At Inond, we believe great products and successful supply chains are built on strong relationships. Whilst technology allows us to communicate instantly across the world, nothing replaces spending time face-to-face with partners, understanding their capabilities, seeing processes first-hand, and having the conversations that build trust over time.
This trip was a reminder of exactly why those relationships matter.
Connecting Businesses with Opportunities
The journey began as part of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) Business Mission alongside SUBCON Thailand.
Having built a strong relationship with the Thailand Board of Investment over several years, Benn was invited to join this year’s mission. That relationship has grown in both directions, with Benn also introducing the BOI team to valuable connections within the UK manufacturing and innovation ecosystem.
When the opportunity came to take part in this year’s programme, it felt like a natural extension of that relationship, and a chance to bring our wider network of businesses into it.

Benn supported organisations across our network through introductions, planning meetings, qualification calls, travel coordination and on-the-ground support, helping them move from initial conversations to face-to-face meetings with suppliers and real opportunity exploration.
Seeing companies build relationships and discover opportunities first-hand is exactly what the Inond ecosystem is about. We are passionate about connecting people, sharing opportunities, and helping businesses access the right expertise, partners and networks to support their growth.
Seeing Manufacturing Excellence First-Hand
Throughout the trip, Benn visited an incredibly diverse range of organisations, from healthcare and advanced electronics through to automotive manufacturing, precision engineering and industrial production.
Visits included Bumrungrad International Hospital, one of Southeast Asia’s leading private healthcare providers, alongside advanced manufacturing facilities operated by global organisations including EssilorLuxottica and Triumph Motorcycles. If you wear glasses, it's highly likely that your lenses were made, surfaced and coated in this factory!

Across the broader programme, SUBCON Thailand provided valuable opportunities to meet manufacturers, suppliers and industry leaders across aerospace, medical technology, health, renewable energy and advanced manufacturing.
These conversations offered important insight into emerging capabilities, future technologies and supply chain opportunities that could benefit both our clients and wider network.
And of course, if you ask Benn which visit stood out most… there’s a strong chance it involved two wheels, an engine, and a very large smile.
Strengthening the Supply Chain Behind Every Project
While the Thailand Board of Investment mission and SUBCON Thailand formed the foundation of the first week, the following two weeks were entirely our own investment. For us, the trip didn’t end when the event finished.

Weeks two and three were dedicated to visiting existing partners, meeting new suppliers, strengthening relationships, and gaining a deeper understanding of the manufacturing ecosystem across the region. These visits represent a significant investment of time and resources, but one we believe is essential to continuing to deliver value to our clients.
The strongest supply chains are built on trust, and trust is built by showing up.
Over this period, Benn travelled extensively across Northern, Central and Eastern Thailand, meeting manufacturing partners specialising in electronics manufacturing, wiring harnesses, injection moulding, investment casting, sheet metal fabrication and rubber production.
More than fifteen supplier meetings and factory visits provided opportunities to review capabilities, review current projects and requirements, discuss future plans, understand operational developments, and strengthen relationships that have often been built over many years.
These visits help us maintain confidence in quality standards, improve communication, identify opportunities for innovation, and ensure the resilience of the supply chains that support our clients.
Most importantly, they allow us to recommend partners based on genuine understanding rather than assumptions.

Why This Matters for Our Clients
Trips like these require significant investment of time, energy and commitment. Whilst Benn was travelling across Asia, client projects continued to progress, supplier discussions remained active, and the team back in the UK worked hard to keep everything moving forward.

The reason we make that investment is simple.
Our clients trust us to help them move from idea to reality. Whether that involves product development, prototyping, sourcing, manufacturing or commercialisation, success depends on having access to the right people, the right expertise and the right partners.
Those relationships are not built through a database or a spreadsheet. They are built through conversations, sharing meals, factory visits, shared experiences and long-term commitment.
Over the past three weeks, we have strengthened existing partnerships, created new connections, supported businesses within our network, and identified future opportunities that will help us continue delivering value for our clients.
A Personal Connection
There was also a personal element to this trip for Benn. As someone who is both Thai and British, returning to Thailand always carries a deeper meaning.

Alongside the business meetings, factory visits and supplier discussions, there was also time to reconnect with family and spend time in a place that plays an important role throughout his life.
In many ways, this reflects how we approach everything at Inond. Relationships matter, whether with family, clients, suppliers or partners, long-term success is built through genuine human connection.
A huge thank you to the Thailand Board of Investment, our manufacturing partners across Thailand and Taiwan, everyone who joined the mission, and Family and the Inond team back in the UK whose support made the trip possible.
We’re excited to see where these conversations lead next.
